Summary

Marriage Point Calculator is an offline scorekeeper. Everything you enter, such as player names, round results and maal points, is saved only on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

In short: we can't see your games. The app has no servers, no analytics and no internet permission.

What the app stores

To keep your games between sessions, the app saves the following in a private database on your device. Other apps can't read it.

InformationWhyWhere it lives
Player namesTo show who is playing and their running totalsThis device only
Round resultsEach player's result and maal points, used to calculate scoresThis device only
Game settingsScoring rules and point value you choose for a gameThis device only
Game historyStart and end times, so you can review past gamesThis device only

Player names can be anything you like. They don't need to be real names.

On Android the app turns off automatic cloud backup, so this data is not copied to Google Drive. On iOS it may be included in your own iCloud or computer backup, depending on your device settings. Those backups are managed by Apple and are not accessible to us.

What we never collect

  • Your name, email address, phone number or contacts
  • Your location
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics, crash analytics or behavioral tracking
  • Payment or financial information. Any money amounts in the app are only numbers you type in for scoring; no real payments happen in the app.

The app has no third-party SDKs for advertising, analytics or tracking.

If you choose to share diagnostics with Google or Apple through your phone's system settings, those reports are handled by them under their own privacy policies.

Permissions

The Android app asks for one permission:

  • Vibration, for short haptic feedback when you tap buttons. It doesn't give access to any of your data.

The app does not request internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage access.

Sharing results

You can share a game's results as text. When you tap Share, your phone's standard share menu opens and you choose where the text goes, such as a messaging app. The app sends nothing on its own. Once shared, the text is handled by the app you picked.

Deleting your data

Because your data never leaves your device, you're fully in control of it:

  • Delete individual games or rounds inside the app.
  • On Android, clear everything in Settings → Apps → Marriage Point Calculator → Storage → Clear data.
  • Uninstall the app to remove all of its data from your device.

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children

The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top before that version is released.
